Thanks.
I am having a problem with the backseat. When I lift the lever, it disengages the right side (the side closest to the rear right tire), but not the left side. Is this an electrical thing? Any Ideas?
When the top is retracted, the hydraulics or moving parts crack and grind loudly. Is WD-40 all I need or is there something else to know to make it less louder? Advise?
Is it possible to remove the convertible top material so it can be worked on? Sew holes, etc.
Would anyone know of any quality upholstery, convertible, or auto work done in in Tijuana?
The following is the largest issue and deals with the convertible plastic window.
To begin, the window has a 2 inch tear. I suppose it will not grow, but to be sure, I ask, will this tear grow? So that you know, the window is moderately scratched. From and 1 to 10, it is at most a 5, so I could go with it or consider a new one. This also depends the cost, which I have no idea.
However, the main issue with the plastic window, is that the zipper is torn badly. Furthermore, there is no zipper to attach to on the top itself (I suppose it was torn out or something). Someone suggested to sew the back window to the top (permanently), but when I read the convertible manual, it said that unzipping the window is important to lowering the top. Is this correct? Furthermore, could it be nice to drive the car with the back window zipped down? To be clear, is sewing the back window permanently to the top is unadviseable? Any advise you have to offer is greatly appreciated.
Thanks sincerely
