After replacing all the gaskets and o rings that are any where near the water pump including all the hoses, i finally found a terrifying site today. The whole corner of the block by the water pump has a nice hairline crack almost all the way around it. I have been tracking this AF leak for ever and never would have considered that the block would cracked expecially since i had it magnifluxed not too long ago. Guess I was wrong. Ill post pics when the camera is charged, it looks pretty. Its a good thing i have about 3 of every part on the car laying in my basement(well, i guess make that just 2 blocks now). shane 91t

I'll post the pics when I get home tonight. We took a hammer to the offending corner and tried to knock it off. The crack is alot bigger now. :-) BTW, anyone want to buy my MR2?? I'm serious... -David

Thursday morning when I headed back to Nashville, I just got fed up with it. Everything that could have gone wrong did .. dead battery, remote starter kill wouldn't work (the security system fried) so I couldn't start my car without taking a screwdriver to the starter ... in the pouring down rain .. not a safe or fun thing to do. My drivers side seat was soaked because of a leaky t-top. Then I hydroplaned all over the damned interstate scaring the holy crap out of me. Wreck on the interstate caused stop-and-go traffic for 30 minutes .. stalled the car out .. had to bump the starter over with a screwdriver AGAIN .. in the middle of interstate traffic ... in the rain. Finally got home and spent an hour ripping out the security system so I could get to work ... 4 hours late. It was a BAD morning to say the least. LOL So yeah, if I can get a decent offer on the MR2, I'll sell it and use that as a down payment on an Audi TT or A4, Honda S2000, M Benz SLK230, or something like that. I want something newer with a warranty so I can concentrate on more important things in my life than spending 24/7 on the MR2. I love the car .. that will never change, but I need to work on the house and possibly get ready for an out-of-state move. That also means the '88 Celica All-Trac and all the miscellaneous pieces parts that I have will be up for grabs (3sgte parts, stock MR2 parts, and the 3000GT V6 engine) -David
