Has anyone had problems with customer service questions at their dealer and can you go to another dealer to ask questions about your car?

I've had problems with the dealer before, sometimes it seems they beat around the bush. I don't take my car there unless I absolutely have to.

There shouldn't be any restrictions on which dealership you take your car to, unless you bought some sort of service deal with the car.

If they customer service isn't giving you what you need, check with the manager and work up from there.

Sometimes dealers just don't get it and it's a shame as without customers they wouldn't even have a job.

Just find another $tealer to your liking. There's no rule or law that states that you must go back to the same $tealer that you bought your car from for service.

You often get treated better if you deal with the dealer who you bought the vehicle from, but you dont have to go to them.

You can shop around for dealers, and if you aren't getting good service you should! Service departments are an important part of a dealerships income. They have small profits on the new cars so depend largely on service to make money. So, if you aren't happy, take your business to another dealership!

I have never had good luck with dealers. I only take my car to one when I absolutely can't go somewhere else. The last dealer I delt with was all around horrible. I hope you're able to find someone you can trust and that has some sense of professionalism.

I personally had a good experience with my dealer. They had more knowledge about corollas than any other service shop around town. They answered all my questions and gave the car back that day. I couldn't believe it!

Yes, I have people who wont answer questions and immediatly direct me back to the dealer whom i bought the car from. You think they would be interested in getting a new customer. Maybe it is some kind of unspoken code between car dealers that they wont do that. lol

You can take your car to any dealer. I live in Florida and I haven't had problems with the dealers down here...I wouldn't ever have a problem with the dealers in CT since most of them have watched me grow up...but I do admit that they can sometimes beat around the bush because they did that with my friend and then I went back with her and they gave us a straight answer (in FL)...also that could've been because I called my Uncle...but yeah I think they might beat around the bush so then you bring the car to them and not to another auto shop...
