Cooling systems generally have two problems,
leaks and boil overs.

If it is a leak, it can be
from a lot of places. Simple detecive work on your
part is all that is needed in most cases to make a
diagnosis. Look for the leaking water or shooting steam and
you'll find your problem. Remember to include the heater
core in your search for leaks, if the inside of your
car smells like antifreeze or the windows are
steaming up when you use the heater, thats the problem.
One thing a lot of guys forget for some reason is
that water flows, where you find it might not be the
source of origin. You've got to track it back to the
source.

Be sure and check to see if the water
pump shaft is leaking, that's one place people
overlook. Water coming out the hole on a pump means the
shaft seal has worn out. Time for a new pump.

If
it is simply boiling over without any other
noticable problems, consider the following. Bad thermostat,
bad pressure cap, bent fins on the radiator, clogged
up radiator, pinched hose.

If it is neither
leaking or boiling over, you might not really have a
problem. It is summer now it might be running just a
little hotter.
