96 hi-ace, the fuse keeps blowing for the dash(so you can't see the speed and fuel gauge at night). i think it because of the new radio i put in but i'm sure i have it wired correctly. there just one wire a brown wire that i have no idea what its for. i know it has something to do with it because in the old radio when you turned on the lights a light on da radio came on? any ideas?

So the radio works?
New radios need two incoming power wires, one for constant power and one for as awakening power. If you don't want radio follows the ignition key you can bind those two together giving constant power.
You have made sure that that brown wire is taped not to get ground and burn the fuse?
Aren't those heater & ventilation switches above the radio? Maybe you have moved some wires of those light when installing?

If the fuse for the dash lights keeps blowing then you've wired your radio up incorrectly.
Or, somehow, the wire that is in the loom for the factory radio that supplies a feed when the lights are turned on has become shorted to ground - hence why the fuse blows.
