at ten thousand miles my tacoma developed a rattle in the dash forward of the airbag. several trips to the dealer for repair did not fix the problem, i wasn't real happy with my brand new truck. The rattle would go away for a while but then would return. the dealer replaced the airbag on the right side cushioned the air conditioning and defrost ducts all to no avail. I removed everything to the structure under the windshield and found one of the recepticals for the dash location to be broken out and not secure on the dash locater pin when the dash was installed. This was the source of the rattle. It took another ten thousand miles to get the problem found but more then 80,000 have passed since with no rattle
