It's actually my wife's plate. It's the first time in the 15 years that we've had a car together that we got a vanity plate. The story about getting it through the DC DMV was long and torturous (sic), an event I'd really rather forget.

As for the plate frame, I've actually stuck with the dealership frame, "Jim Coleman Toyota". Their Internet Manager, Greg Sherrard has been great. I would (and have) recommended him to anyone who wants to buy a Prius here in the DC area.

BTW What color did you get?

How bout

GRN CAR - great if you got a green one
LITLGAS
LESSGAS
GOESFAR
MORMILES

and so on. In Minnesota we have a plate program that benefits the MN Dept of Natural Resources. You can get "Critical Habitat" plates that cost an extra $30 per year that goes to protecting and restoring wildlife habitats. These plates have been very successful. While not a vanity plate, it speaks environmental commitment loud and clear. I plan to get these, but can't until I get my regular MN plates. My temporary permit just expired and I haven't received them from the dealership yet! My aqua Prius looks lovely parked in the garage.

No delivery of my Prius yet but I plan to get plates that say: HI SKY

P.S. If you live in Oregon don't steal it! Free license to any out-of-staters.
