I have never had this problem before with any car. I have to keep my defroster on pretty much all the time or else my windshield fogs over, even in the summer. I could probably live with this, but I am in Southern Cal, the Smog Capital of the World. Leaving the deroster on means the fresh air vent is open. Therefore, I suck in all the exhaust, especially diesel exhaust which makes me a little woozy.

Does anyone have some tips on blocking out exhaust fumes or another way to defrost the windwhield without opening the windows?
