Guess that doesn't shock me given the absurd law suits people win
these days. I really hate most lawyers. Seems like if I ask the
dealership to disable it I'm accepting responsibility. I could see
where the next owner may have a problem with it if I didn't tell
them before the sale, but that should be my problem.
It's all fine anyway unless you have 3 or more kids. At some point
you need to put one in the front seat, especially if mom needs to
play referree in the back seat. In my case I have 18 mo old twins
and a two week old. Try keeping the 18 mo olds from playing with
the sleeping infant?
On the newer models they have a switch which allows you to disable
the bag yourself. Seems that leaves at least as much room for
liability. How many people switch it one way and forget to switch
it back when they move the car seat?
Not trying to shoot the messenger. Just expressing frustration.
