Hi all,

I recently bought a 96 Land Cruiser and it came with this switch in the picture, the red light is ON all the time, does anyone have any idea what it does?

Thanks a lot

It does look like an aftermarket alarm system that was possibly disconnected. If you can, try to take it out and unplug it to see if the vehicle starts. If not then the killswitch is still connected through the alarm system. If it changes nothing, then at least it won't light up all the time. It could also be an older garage door switch and obviously it's too far from the previous owner to open/close his garage.

Try and trace the wires to something, they have to lead to somewhere.

Update, Its (like the others have said) an after market car alarm, I tried to disconnect it but I can't start the car now, tomorrow will try to find where the starter kill relay exactly to disable it.
