Is there anyone out there in cyberland who can advise me where to obtain the E coded headlights required to meet canadian safety standards I have been advised that my van could be ordered off the road if checked for infractions. the weirdest is, the van was duly checked and given a VIN # making it aceptable under canadian safety regulations. Toyota has been most UNHELPFUL presumably they don't like the likes of me to get from the market place what we want. (in this case a diesel van) Looking at the hiace sold in Australia I see that the headlights are different from the Japan Domestic model (JDM) Perhaps I will have to obtain a grille and then fit the square headlights. Anyone................. any better suggestions ?? Thanks

All provinces require you to have a Safety Check performed prior to insuring. The VIN# alone does not authorize the insurance. Have you actually had the vehicle "safetied" ?
IF so, provincially, you are good-to-go. Just carry the certification with you to prove it if you're ever stopped.
