do you allow yourself and your family to eat inside the car or do you rule against this activity? we never really had this as a rule but my cousins used to have this with their father being severely strict about it. they really suffered during days when they wanted to eat during long trips. they couldn't do anything about it but to suppress their cravings until they get home since it's raining outside.

In Canada people can eat anywhere they like (LoL).

Yes, we eat in our vehicles...and drink Tim Horton's coffee, and talk on our cell phones, and etc etc

We're very relaxed when it comes to eating in the car. I don't think I can drive anywhere without drinking a cup of coffee. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But we still keep our car clean.

i guess their father was pretty busy that time that he found it was too inconvenient to vacuum the car or have it cleaned in the car wash. i think the best way to meet halfway is to let kids (especially if they're not that young--like say, they're already teens) eat so long as they'll do the cleaning if they make a mess.

This is too funny!
I am one that always found myself complaining with my father, because he hated that we ate in the car. When I got my Rav4, I was soooo picky that NO ONE would eat in the car either... but then, I got hungry... And that was another story! I found that I could eat in the car without any problems, but only me, bacause my Rav had only one cup holder! And of course I was the one with rights to use it!
