Has anyone ever purchased any car audio/electronics or even a car on Ebay before? I heard that you
can find them discounted on ebay? Have anyone tried to purchase items like that on before? Was it a scam or
quality product? Just wondering....

I've bought there before. Have replaced both the radio/cd and the rally lights on my old Land Rover with new, discounted items. Worked just fine.

I have purchased many things for my car...and have not been scammed, yet. I only buy from 100% positive feedback buyers and try to buy locally to see what I am getting, before giving the money. Look at their feedback and make sure they are reliable.

The feeback part of Ebaying is really important because you get such a quick look at whether or not the seller is reputable. I stay away from those with ten or less feedbacks or any negative ones at all.
Works for me!

EBAY is like everything else on the net: buyer beware. That said, I've had great success on ebay and never once had a problem. Give it a shot but a final warning:

Write down the highest amount you are willing to go and STICK TO IT!

I have issues with letting someone out bid my by a nickel......50-100 times and you are talking real money! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/s12.gif)

I personally have a store on ebay and trust most things there however, like a few members stated, beware, make sure the seller is reputable. Never pay anything other than check, money order, or paypal... That's some advice from me to you...

Make sure you check the seller's rating, and see what, if any, comments other users have left.
You can usually get good stuff off Ebay.
I actually did know someone that bought a car that way, too.
Make sure you check it out on carfax and everything if you do that. And, you'll have to go get it, so if you don't want to drive a long way, you'll want to try to find someone close to you. My friends drove several states over to pick up their car.

Oh, one thing I forgot to add.. I never buy from a seller with anything less than 20 SELLER feedbacks. This just prevents newbies or scammers from being so good at what they do LOL

If you dont find anything on Ebay I suggest looking on Craigslist.com as well. It is free and they dont charge anything to the seller or buyer and it is a less complicated process than buying on Ebay.

just kno that most of the time when you buy off ebay. Most of car audio products will not come with a warranty. 90% of the dealers on ebay are not authorized dealers. So you will not proably get a warranty. Also make sure you read the descrition clearly and throughtly.
