I've got a problem that has got me stumped...97 SR5 T-100..

When I arm my alarm , the parking lights and tailights flash like they should, then they stay on...nothing will turn them off except dis-conecting th battery.Same thing when I turn on my lights...headlights will turn off...but not the parking lights, and tailllights.
My guess is it might be a relay..but the only one I see is the headlite rely in the fusebox behind the battery and that didn't do anything.I don't think it is the headlite switch on the steering colum because it does the same thing when I use the remote to lock/unlock the doors...and when I re-connect the battery..the lights stay off..until I hit the remote or turn on the parking lights..And we get to do it all over again..
Thought I had it licked when I put the battery on the charger for awhile...It actually cycled thru the remote about 10 times without the lights staying on...Maybe I'm on the right track there...

I'm hoping that someone here has Been There Done That...

OK...Got it fixed..This is what I did..I asked around and was directed to a small ..old building with a faded sign that said "Lynnwood Auto Electric"..The man inside was busy...talking on 2 phones..yelling instructions to the guys out in the shop, and holding 3 conversations with customers at the counter. When my turn came..I explained the situation..His response was " Your truck is Haunted"..follow me...He grabbed a test light and with all the agility this 65 year old man could muster, he dove under my Dash. He shouted.."are your lights on" a couple of times then asked if I had a knife..A few minutes later,he comes out from under the dash and tells me,"Here is your problem". It was the taillight relay. "I don't stock those, but you can get one at Napa, just down the street.I reached for my wallet and asked what did I owe him..he smiled and said..."Catch you next time,,no charge"..So..if you are ever in Lynnwood Washington..even if you don't need his help..stop by and say "Hi"..you'll be glad you did.
