I'm very unhappy with the car because the engine (Diesel, 1KD-FTV)
often looses power during 30-60 seconds.

After this, cruise control does not function until I start the engine
again.


It never happens when cruise control manages speed. Only with pedal.


It happens more often with cold engine.


My Toyota garage replaced the stop light switch but it didn't help.
They don't seem to have an idea, where the problem is.

when does this happen? when you first crank up? or at random times? you said more often with a cold engine, but has it happened before after you'd been driving for a while?

No problems with cranking.
It may start after one minute's drive, come again 5 times within the first ten minutes and get rarer afterwards.

And it NEVER happens when cruise control controls speed, even with cold engine.
