What are, if any, the major differences between the 20R (21R) and the 22R. I have a 21R in my '77 which runs very well, however am told it was never offered in the U.S. The previous owner had it changed from the original 20R. Have been trying to sell this car, but with this club I may keep it and make some changes. Also looking for a rear window sun screen. Whizzkd.

i dont know the exact specs, but the 22r is bigger displacement, and its got different pistons. note: put a 22r block under a 20r head, and you have massive compression, and massive power!!! just make sure you use a pre-1985 motor, otherwise the 20r dual row timing chain wont match up to the after-1984 single row timing chain.

beau
