Drives: toyota previa GS auto,2.4

HI,just had my toyota 2.4,auto, 1996 previa for m.o.t.,failed on fast idle and second fast idle exhaust emissons,does anbody know if a sensor on the engine would cause thisto happen?had diagnostic check done and showing no faults?can anyone help?cheers.

it sounds like the fuel is running to lean for it to have fast idling if you take the car for a long run on a near by motorway it should clear it :) my friends one failed on the CO and she took it to London and took it for its M.O.T and it passed good luck mate?
