So I picked up a 1997 Camry Le and a guy I know says I should heat wrap the exhaust. What do you guys think?

What for? The only reason to heat wrap exhaust is between the engine and turbo, to retain heat.

You're not driving a race car!

From what he says it's supposed to help lower engine comparment temp. and add a tiny bit of horsepower.
