I got something falling from my 96 Corolla. Is there any idea on what it is? Can I still drive without fixing it?

Thanks a lot!

Its a shield for your catalytic converter, your car will run well without it, probably quiter too. Its a heat shield basically. RELAX!!!

I dont know if this occurred to you but they probably put it there for a very good reason!! Probably best to get it put back on sonner rather than later!

And whats the important reason. Besides burning yourself the cat??

They are put on so you dont really burn your self you happen to be under the car.
To help get rid of some heat so it does not rott out the floor or start a brush fire if you park on dry grass.
Thats what they do. You are fine if you dont put it back on its not a big deal.
