1998 tacoma 2.4L at. The idle is too high when the ac compressor engages. It doesn't appear that the idle kicker solenoid is used for this function. Is the IAC used to kick up the idle speed? If so, I can't see how that is adjusted. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron

I don't believe the idle is adjustable on the Tacos. Have you tried cleaning the IAC valve along with the throttle body yet? They may be gunked up and causing the butterfly valve to become partially open. Hope it helps some...

Thanks for the input. The engine idles fine as long as the ac pump is off. When I am waiting at a stop light and the ac pump kicks in I have to push a little harder on the brake. Kind of irritating. Ron
