(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) Hi all, thanks for welcoming me to the forum.

I've got a 1991 4x4 P/U with a 3" lift, General Grabber MT tires, a 1979 rebuilt Corona (yup, I said Corona) block. It is so much fun, that I drive it instead of my '03 Sport Edition 4-Rnr very often.

I'm here because of the potential dialog with ya'll...I,m in the south ya know, and also for some advice.

These crazy fuel prices have given some nerd the courage to climb under my rig, slice the fuel filler neck and drain my tank through the sliced opening. (Guess it could have been worse had they pried open the fuel door). But then, we all know this is so senseless and you can't help feeling violated.

Question is; Since the rig has a 3' lift, I'm assuming the filler neck is not OEM (it measures roughly 15 inches). Where can I come up with one that will fit. Do they sell just hose or universal types?

Thx again for letting me in and any suggestions are appreciated.

John

Depends.
If it's a 3" suspension lift, it has no effect on the filler tube.
If it's a 3" body lift the kit might have come with a longer tube, but usually they have you loosen the clamps and reposition the original.
Try a stock, new from dealer or off a junker.
Parts store might have a generic one.

Thx fourwd1,

It's a 3" body lift (sorry, I should have said so). The parts store has hose that can be used as a filler neck...problem is, the hose has to be one diameter at the filler door and a larger diameter at the tank!

Think I'll try your suggestion and either get a junk yard neck or bite the bullet and buy one for ...$70.00 - -YIKES, at the dealer.

Definitely appreciate the reply.....keep on truckin' !

No problem.
If you go to a junk yard one from a 2WD or 4WD truck should work.
