I was driving my 1991 V6 4x4 yesterday and it just died. No sputtering or jumping it just died. It cracked back up and I drove it the rest of the day and later on that night it died again and would not start. We can't get fire anywhere. Spark plugs aren't getting fire, the coil is not getting fire the fuses are all good. The truck will turn over but will not crack. It was almost like you flipped a switch when it died. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ryan

Any check engine light? Pick up a FSM. It has a step by step guide on how to figure out what went wrong. You can also ask the ECU what it thinks is wrong.

i had a similar problem on a jeep, and the coil in the distributer was getting too hot and would kill the engine. when it dies, try taking a can of compressed air, turning it upside down and freezing the coil. if it starts up, then you know its the coil.
