Hello. Does anyone know if the FJ Cruiser hitch is currently
available as a genuine accessory?

I was on a "toyota" factory parts and accesories web site just a couple of weeks ago and I was able to go rite to the page that offered FJ Cruiser parts, including a trailer hitch. I have been looking tonight for the same page because I need the hitch to tow the trailer we are gonna stay in while hunting in two weeks. I know it listed for $200 and they must sell them at the dealer, but why its simply vanished from their web site I dont know. I can tell you that it has made me really frustrated with the toyota site when before it was so easy. If they have paid someone to change the site might I suggest they ask for the money back cause the a hole that did the changes was an *****.

Hi everyone, new to the site and looking forward to interesting interaction amongst the FJ Cruiser enthusiasts.

I am thoroughly enjoying the 2007 FJ Cruiser and ordered the hitch through the local dealer who installed everything except the wiring (the dealer referred me to the folks that performs the aftermarket installations for the dealership thereby saving me a few bucks). Everything was installed on a timely basis with nothing going astray - a very pleasant surprise after dealing with the local VW dealership for the past few years - but that is another topic which I won't get into at this time. Anyways I am sure your dealership will be able to get the correct hitch for you without any difficulty.

It's not a cuiser, it's the minivan. But can you get the towpackage for this guy AFTER you have it, or does it have to be prebuilt in?

My FJ Cruiser came with the factory hitch. The install is very clean and is rated for 5000lbs. I have not towed anything yet but soon I will be hooking up my 21 foot boat and heading for the lake. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)
