Hello all,
I recently (2 days ago) bought a '79 cruiser. I have wanted one for
a long time, so coming across this one for ridiculously cheap seemed
almost a miracle. However, I can't seem to get the poor thing the 40
miles home. The previous owner's idea of "excellent running
condition" and mine do not agree. The idle is very high, and it
stalls out... unless the choke is pulled out, then its just rough.
The engine speed increases like the throttle is being floored until it
floods and stalls out. I intend to rebuild the carb as soon as soon as
I can get it to my garage. The choke is on when its pulled out right?
Right now its stuck on the side of the highway, I can't afford to tow
it in the next week. I just need to figure out how to limp it
home....Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...
