Its a 98 tacoma.is their a hepa filter?It stinks whether its on recirculate or fresh air setting!Any advice or tips?

There is no filter whatsoever. How often do you use your AC? If you use it often then a couple minutes before you reach your destination, turn off the AC but keep the fan running and move the lever to the fresh air and leave the fan running for a couple minutes. The evap. is collecting moisture and that is what is causing the odor. I would also use something called Frigi-Fresh too.
