There is a rattle/ rubbing in the left front disc brake on my 05 4x4 double cab Tacoma sport. Grant you the whole truck has more rattles than any of my other past Toyota Trucks year 80,85,85 & 99.
The front rattle really is anoying. I've had this truck five months and should not have to take a wheel off to check for rattles or missing parts on a Toyota. Then again it was put together here. So was my old 1999 4x4 Taco but it seemed more stout.
It sounds like a tension spring or pin is missing. It stops when the brakes are applied. The back rattles I guess because too much **** plastic where steel belongs.
