Hi, I'm new to this site but i'm hoping that someone will be able to help.
I recently bought 2 x '90 Celica 1.8GTi one was drivable but the other had what appeared to be slight front end damage caused by a minor collision but was sufficent to write it off. My plan was to do the repairs myself and then sell it, unfortunatly the 'drivable' one turned out to be a death trap waiting to happen. It failed it's MOT on 16 points 4 of them MAJOR and dangerous!!! So my grand plan is now in peices.
On removing the front bumper and D/S wing on the write off i discovered that it wasn't just cosmetic damage as first thought. t turns out that the box section behind the bumper is also damaged, it has been badly dented and distorted on one end the rest of it apperas to be ok. Now for the technial questions
1) is this box section replaceable without a jig?
2) if it is possible, is it a big job?
3 would it be a good idea to just replace the bumper and ignore the damage underneath it?
I hope someone can help as I really enjoyed driving the 'drivable' one whilst it was on the road.
Thanks in advance
