I have a 92 Previa Deluxe that gets me about 25 miles/Gal on City/Highway combined. Has been very reliable so far with 240K miles on it. Everythin works and most of the parts are still orignal. I also had a 93 Previa LE that I sold it at 185K miles. That was not getting good gas milage. But was very comfortable and reliable. It had 15" tires vs 92 which has 14" tires. May be that makes the difference in the milage. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)

sounds fairly normal for start stop driving, should get near 30 mpg extra urban,
best i've ever had was 45 mpg on a long run cruising in 5th for hours.

Not too bad so, I think the time has come
for a ST185, I just have to get the same colour and hope the missus won't
notice I bought a new car!

One of the price guides stated that we should be getting something like 34-39, although I find that comical.
I used to average between 25-28mpg around town.
28 on a flat out motorway run, although not sure what the actual top speed is on these.
I once saw 31mpg, but only once...
I tried a couple of weeks of driving carefully and then driving aggressively (on the pedal, not toward other people) and found the average only went up and down by 1mpg either way, so not really worth making an effort for...

Treat it to new plugs and filter, check for fuel leaks at the tank and
injectors and get the compression tested for piston ring damage. Check
the diagnostics for a dodgy o2 sensor and cold start injector

You can get better gas mileage using Super, higher octane gas, but of course you have to pay extra for the fuel. The Previa's ECU is continuously optimizing and will advance timing when it has more octane. This gives a noticeable bump in power, which of course means you don't have to give as much throttle to go the same speed.

as far as economy goes would definitely recommend a gas conversion for this vehicle i am getting about 220 miles on a full tank (60 litre holds upto about 68) around town. __________________ Valve Spring
