Hello Everyone New kid on the block here.

We have a 2000 Avalon XLS purchased new in Oct '99. This vehicle has served us well, until last week. The vehicle has never been in an accident of any kind.

Upon trying to refuel, the fuel kept threatening to spit out as though the tank was full, although I know it was almost empty. No matter how the fuel nozzel was placed in the tank neck, the only fuel that could be pumped was about 5 or 6 ounces at one time bfore I was forced to stop or spill fuel. After about a half hour, I had put in about 3 galons, and stopped.

Is there a vent designed in the neck of the tank...?? Any idea why the neck will not take fuel....???
