Afternoon .I have a Toyota Hiace details
Model KDZH-Kzh 100GMFPQT
Engine1kz-te 29822cc
Frame no kzh100-1021021098
Trans axle a340eg292
plant buillt c31
color 2ax trim fq42 gum(kg
i have sent of for a worshop manual in english from nz. We are somewhat isolated here in PNG this is a Japanese import.Could anyone shed any light on the fuel guage system.It would appear the sender is working when checked with a voltmeter ,however when connected its either indicating empty or flashing full.Its a fancy tv style display incorporating temp rpm mileage fuel.Is thereb any relay between battery and the screen .Thanks for any help forthcoming cheers Greg

Hi Greg,

By fancy style TV display do you mean it's a digital dash?

The electronics in these vans give very little problem. I'd suspect a dodgy sender or perhaps a break in the wiring somewhere between the tank and the gauge.

Let me know when you get the manual - I should be able to help you navigate through the electrics side of it.
As far as I know, there is no relay or other interface between the sender and the dash. The sender is always wired straight to the dash and the electronics in the dash do all the work.
