I recently purchased a 2005 Toyota Sienna with 7000 miles onit. I can't get the remote garage door button to work. I've done everything the manual says and all the things that are supposed to happen do , except the door doesn't open. The car is under warrantyso I'm not that concerned, was wondering if anyone out there could help me save a trip to the dealer , Thanks

With mine I had to try it a few times. Also, for it to take the signal I had to let it cycle a few times (hold the button longer than it says). Mine I kept the process going until I saw the door physically open. Other option is to do it while in teh garage to ensure you are close enough to teh box during your programming phase.

just wondering, but does it require batteries and if so are the batteries working correctly...it may be something simple, like that, or simply you have a dud.

getenon... I am looking at buying a new or used vehicle any way I was talking to a Lexus salesman and he was telling me about the Lexus experiance anyway an example he used was that Lexus had a customer who's garage door did not work with the lexus visor buttons and they (lexus) install a new door controler free of charge. Let me know about this "Lexus experiance" is it just salesman BS or the real thing?<br>Willy

It works on my 2001 RX300 on Craftsman GD opener pretty fine. I think you have to use two step procedure ie first step: point GD opener remote to your home link buttons above driver head area like in structions by pressing both for a while, 2nd Step: to open a small cover on overhead GD box and try to teach that box ( by pressing a train/progam button in overhead GD box fixed to the roof, my example ) how to pick up signal from remote.

I presume this is the HomeLink system? I had a problem programing the one in my Highlander visor until I accidently held the remote so close to the visor buttons that it was almost touching it during programing. I had a problem and I had to reprogram it a few months later, and sure enough it would not take it unless I held the remote very close to the visor buttons. Also, I did the two step method as raja mentions in message 346. /Ron
