Allrighty then, about 800 miles on the new clutch, and wham, curbed bad avoiding a tow truck playing "what's my lane". I now need some parts..... Namely: Wheels, Tires, and a Left side front, lower control arm (bent bad! ($65.00 at junk yard, geeeeze)) and a good alignment. I now have a shortened, pigeon toed MR2 that not only lay rubber with the rear tires, but now will give a good squeal with the front also. Kirk, can you help me out, again? Before you know it, my '89 will transform into an '87. Chuck Roberts

Sorry to hear about the tow truck. Your car sounds like Steve's.

Hey Chuck, You sound like me, no luck at all! I have a set of those triangle type MR2 wheels with tires. 2 of the Pirelli's are shot but 2 have great tread on them. They are a little dirty as they have been sitting outside for awhile. As for the control arm, unfortunately the parts car I currently have was wrecked on the same side as yours. -Kirk >

Kirk, How much for the wheels and tires? I found a control arm at a junkyard here in LaVergne ($35.00 and he threw in the rear strut covers for free!). I put it on this morning and confirmed my fear.... The strut is bent. So, shopping for struts now. Thanks, Chuck

Hey Chuck. You know I was thinking alittle while ago, you have those basket weave type wheels that they put on the 88 and 89 cars, right? The parts car I have has 3 of those. I'm not sure what condition they are in but you can have either one of them as long as I get something to replace it so I can haul the car away when I'm done with it. Or I'll sell you the other set of wheels and tires for $100. You can call me at 305-9458. -Kirk >
