When the the glove box is closed, but the headlights are on, should I still see light coming out from around the edges of the glove box

I only noticed this the other week when my wife pointed it out. My glove box light is on when the headlights are on too. Seems usual but not sure. Will continue searching the net and then ask the dealer for an answer.
