Got my Prius today!!! Now I can actually verify
statements before putting them on the board. (But will I?
Hmmm.)

Had an interesting little dealer oops though. I
showed up at 12:30 to pick up my car. Dealer handed me
the keys to check it out. Everything looked good,
then I mentioned "How come the VIN isn't the same as
the one you mentioned on the phone". Dealer's jaw
dropped big time. Turns out they received two silver
Prius and one green. Mine was supposed to be prepped
first, then the green, then the other silver (since they
haven't been able to contact its owner yet). But the
service dept. just went by color, not VIN.

So I
completed all the paper work while they quick started
working on my car. Since it takes 3 hours to give the
NiMH batteries their initial charge, the dealer let me
take his rental back to work. I then swapped it for my
Prius this evening.

The dealer was actually very
glad I noticed. Otherwise he would have had to explain
to the other customer why her new car had a hundred
or so miles on it (I do about 60 miles per
day).

By the way, that's a very nice green color, much
lighter than it appears on the web site or in the
brochure. GCKorn, looks like you made a good choice. But
I'll stick with silver, no way do I want to wait until
Feb.

Robert Snyder
