[size="5"]I just bought a truck for my son as a Graduation gift (93 SR5 extended cab). The body is in excellent shape. Alot of the drive train accessessories have been replaced and the head has been been rebuilt about 30/40 km ago. I bought it with a blown head gasket and the previous owner told me it had never overheated while he owned it. Although i have some experience with rebuilding engines in the past, this is a new model for me. I would appreciate any tips anyone has on these alloy heads in changing the head gaskets like, using longer head bolts? one gasket over another brand? short cuts on disemble and assemble, oil was cloudy, can the oil pump handle it? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give us.
I personally drive the 2007 Tacoma and love it.
