I've recently purchased a used 2004 Toyota Tacoma Ext Cab 2.4l, 5 sp manual, with a/c & cruise & 82000 km.
I have put on 1500 kms since the purchase and the truck is running great except that the cooling fins on the front radiator began unfolding and hanging below the truck. I presume this radiator is for the a/c. Concurrent with this fall out of cooling fins has been a reduction in the cold air coming from the a/c. I've been driving for a while and never had a rad problem of this nature before.
Has anyone had a similar occurrence with a similar vehicle? Did you ever figure out the cause? Is this a manufacturing defect?What was the fix? Any help and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Phil, that's the first I've heard of that happening, it's definitely not a manufacturing defect. I assume the previous owner got into an accident the and body repair shop probably neglected to fix that at the shop. Just get a replacement and you should be good to go.
