Hello,

I'm really close to buying a 1993 GS 300... It's in absolutely PERFECT condition, and I mean PERFECT! Not a scratch on the exterior, the interior is flawless, the carpet looks like it never saw dirt, and the leather seats look NEW -- not even a single crack or crease in the leather. Best of all, it has only 35,700 miles!

This GS300 is at a local, well-regarded Lexus dealership, where it was purchased originally in early 1994. This original owner always serviced it at this Lexus dealership, and just traded it in last week on a new Lexus at the same dealership. The dealership has all service records and just did the required major service for this mileage (next major service due at 45,000 miles). They also put brand-new tires on it, and say they did their meticulous inspection that they do for the Certified Used Lexus vehicles, even though this vehicle is too old to be in the Certified program.

The dealer also replaced both of the original electronic keys and the valet key, as one of them was broken -- so it has a full, new set of keys.

I looked it over very closely, and even the engine has not a spec of dirt or dust... It truly looks like a NEW vehicle... It's THAT perfect.

The only problem that I could find was that the front seat heaters appeared to be faulty, and the dealer offered to repair or replace the heaters.

I drove this vehicle around for about half an hour on city streets and the highway, and it's perfectly quiet and smooth... Like a new car.

The only thing that this vehicle lacks is a CD changer.

SO -- my questions are:

1). Does this sound like a good one? What is a fair price?
2). Have these cars been reliable?
3). Is there anything I should beware of?
4). How will this car be in winter, with Traction Control and good all-season radials? (I know that snow tires are always a good idea here in Minnesota, but I have to ask)
5). Anything else I should beware of?

This will be my first Lexus, so I hope to hear some helpful advice from those of you who have experience with this vehicle.

Please respond quickly!!! I put down some money to have them hold this vehicle till 6/28 while I mull it over.
