Hey guys! I'm trying to gather some help about drag racing a 73 Celica. Right now it just has a 20R in it. I am thinking about a turbo 22R. How hard of a swapp and how expensive is that? Do you guys have a 73? Simply put, what can I do to make this car fast for the least amount of $<br><br>THanks!

actually 22RTE is not a turbo 22R but a turbo 22RE..different engines actually, 22RE is better

Just to make a note Celica's have heavier body and might be a disadvantage for drag racing unless you really have a strong engine. Turbo might not be a good option for drag racing because, turbo has a lag.<br>Best option to your engine is bigger valves, extensive porting combined with a suitable cams and a twin side 45/50 Weber. A perfect set up is using a 20r head on a 22r block. Go to <br>www.LCENGINEERING.COM for more options and ideas.<br>Good luck!!!!
