Ok, i invested (is that the right word) in a 1988 supra targa top 5 days ago, i noticed when i got it home that some plugs in the engine bay didn't seem to be connected to anything (the O2 sensor was also disconnected, so i plugged that back in), and everything seemed fine, then today, while having a nice calm (yeah, sure) drive down the highway, i noticed that the digital heat guage was at the top and blinking at me, so drove straight back to the dealers and said what the hell? any way, i found one wire that broke off a sensor near the top radiator hose, when re attached three fans surrounding the radiator came to life (with the help of the ignition), but the temp was still climbing, even at idle, what is causing this? would really like to know, and any help you guys can give me is greatly appreciated...

c-ya,
ben

Check for A Blown Head Gasket. Block tester tests for exhaust in your radiator fluid. Supras blow the HG all the time.
