Hi guys,

I just bought a 94 tacoma 4x4, it has 130k on it, the engine is really smooth and sweet, its an auto trans and
i guess that is what it is..lol

my first question is: the brake light on the dash stays on, however the brakes themselves seem to work just fine.
What things should i look at to figure out this warning light...

second question: anyone know what a dealer transmission service costs for this truck ? that would be a standard fluid change and whatever else they do for that... i hate taking any vehicle to any service center but a dealer for any
xmission work... but its prob got the original tranny fluid in it... yuck-0 !

third.. i hate cloth seats... whats the best seat covers youve had for this truck ?

forth.. WHATS THIS OVERDRIVE AUTO TRANSMISSION ? HOW DO YOU USE IT...

fifth.. HOW DO YOU SHIFT THE 4X4 , IN MY WRANGLER YOU JUST TOSS IT IN AND KEEP ON TRUCKING
DO YOU HAVE TO BE SITTING STILL OR WHAT WITH THESE TO PUT THEM IN 4X4

First, welcome to the site. Second, do you have a Tacoma or a 1994 pickup? 1995.5 was the first year for the Tacoma. Third, check the brake fluid level in your brake fluid reservoir, it may be low. Not sure about the tranny costs, maybe call around to various dealers and independent shops. Overdrive is the 4th or 5th gear, usually turned on when driving on the highway, but I would just leave it on all the time. IIRC, you need to be stopped and then shift the lever to 4x4, but I could be wrong.
