I looked at that post on another forum and the Hiace was doing 121 kms / hr at 3600 rpms. !!

Personally, I would be scared to run that high revs on a long trip - and I think fuel econ would be crap. But I say this as an owner of a LC Prado and did the whole cracked-head episode, so I am a little conservative I guess.
