Hello blokes

I have a toyota hiace 93 model 2.8 l diesel 3 L engine. I was doing a timing belt replacement as iv done this many times but i always mark each tooth position on each pully to timming belt so i can line up the marks on a swap.

One of the marks rubbed of and im confused to if im a tooth out on the crank. Does anyone know where the indicater marks on each pully should face (cam pully, fuel pum pully, crank pully) should face. I dont really want to turn the engine over until im confident iv got the timing belt sitting in the correct spot on each pully.

This old girl has done 330 000 and i just had to redo the pump as it was leaking as some of you would have had the same problem when they changed the fuel structure of the diesel (i think sulfer or lack of it or something)

I had the same problem in 2000 when they altered the diesel. I feel sorry for the people having to pay someone for the labour of fixing a pump when they leak each time the fuel companies do something with the fuel.

All the best Damien
