Hi again,
finally got my hands on my Hiace Camper. Very pleased so far! However, The t-belt light is on but I know it has only done 49000 miles? I know the guy who fitted the fog light had part of the dash out could it have been caused then? How do I turn it off? Also, the van has a rear heater by "webasto" . Does the engine have to be running to get heat out of it? I have no handbook so I am a bit lost as to how it works? Is it diesel powered? I intend havinf the timing belt changed anyway so should I wait till then and get mechanic to reset the warning light at that point?

Cheers

Jim

Engine shouldn't need to be running though you must remember using Webasto consumes battery power, the glow plug that flames the fuel. It should be diesel powered either connected the fuel line of the van or having own pump and line from the fuel tank.

Hi
Glad you have got your camper!!
I have mine as well, I also have the same Webasto heater installed as well, I did get the manual as well.. Nice bit of kit

The timing belt should be changed due to the age of the belt if the original one.. The recommendation is 5 years of 60,000 miles whatever comes 1st. BUT if you just want to reset the light just remove the dash cluster (Speedo head unit) and flip it over you will see a screw in a space that says TBELT, remove that screw and install in the hole next to it.. This resets the light.

Hope this helps
