Hi there,not sure if anyone can help me or not! I need to drain the water from the diesel filter!!!!! any ideas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nahrung034.gif)

only done it on other vehicles never the hiace but I'd imagine it would be a similar set up ... there should be a tap on the bottom of the filter that you should be able to open and drain the water trap.... usually a pretty straight forward operation.... probably worth while just replacing the filter while your in there though... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/s12.gif)

I have the Hilux truck manual, and it suggests there are two fuel filter types. One that has a top center bolt that holds it on, or one that screws on more like an oil filter. My van has the latter. There is a drain tap at the bottom. If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to check my manual and let you know what it says...

Most filters that I've seen have the water sensor at the bottom - place a bucket underneath the filter or a funnel with a hose on it out to a bucket - unscrew the sensor and allow the contents of the filter to drain out.
