Hi everyone,
I'm moving to BC from Alberta with my Hiace that's never run very well and I'd like to know where I should take it for a look see and to get it ready for a provincial inspection. Either in the greater Vancouver area or Courtenay area woul be fine (or in between I guess). Any help would be appreciated.

if you are still looking around nanaimo courtney area, try cc autos in coombes or radd cruisers in duncan, both on the internet. i have used both with success. starting using outback imports with our new delivery van, 93 grand cabin, seem good so far. they seem really good for parts so far. they are based in vancouver but have someone living in nanaimo area, no service yet, but soon i hope. also check out delica.ca for a list of places in vancouver.

You also may want to try Japanoid in New Westminster. They are very good and have a 9 bay shop specializing in Japanese imports as they are the importer whom I purchased my HiAce from last month.

James is the Service Manager and very knowledgable on this model.

I took mine to seven rocks. Ken Law was a mechanic in Japan for 7 years and knows his stuff on them. The only thing is he doesn't stock parts but he's great, won't rip you off... By getting the parts yourself and getting him to do the work you're doing it as cheap as possible with a professional mechanic. He does safety inspections too. http://www.seven-rocks.com/index.html

You probably found someone by now WK, but I can vouch for Outback for parts and ATEB for servicing. I've ordered simple things like belts and filters through ATEB before too, and everything went smoothly.

I've just moved to Victoria and am looking for a mechanic here. Duncan doesn't seem too far to go, but if anyone can recommend a garage for servicing and an inspection in or around Victoria I'm all ears.
