I searched for HID KIT and High Intensity but found nothing.

I was wondering if anyone here has installed an aftermarket HID Kit on the 06+ Tacoma's? I heard you can't install these kits in some cars b/c they'll set off the bulb-out light.

Tony, there aren't any model numbers per se, but I think you want to get the kit with the moving bi-xenon bulbs. The kit with the H4 bulbs will fit your headlights while the kit with the H10 bulbs will fit your fogs. To be on the safe side, get a wiring harness to protect your headlights when you get the H4 kit, none will be needed with the fogs. When you choose bulb color, I suggest not getting anything over 6000K in bulb temperature or you'll start to lose usable light on the road. But on the other hand, I would get more yellow bulbs for your fogs, maybe 3000K or 4300K. I also suggest getting your kits from Xenon Depot at http://www.kbcarstuff.com/. They've got great products and customer service. At checkout enter the code TN to receive a discount. You can email the owner Steve at info@xenondepot.com if you have any questions about the HID kits. BTW, I am not affiliated with Steve or his company in anyway, just passing along some info to you is all. Hope this all helps you out.

Tony, just wanted to add that the moving bi-xenon bulbs will still leave you with the use of your high beams. The HID bulb inside the housing will move up higher thus giving you the high beams. There isn't a seperate bulb in there, although you can get one with 2 bulbs (hi and low beams) but the high beams are too dim to serve any purpose.
