I have had my 2009 highlander hybrid for about a month and I have noticed that sometimes the dial gage on the left side of the display will descend into the charge zone when I press the brakes and other times it wont. The strange thing is, it does not seem to correlate at all with the charge level of the vehicle, rather it just seems that sometimes when I get in the vehicle the needle will always descend into the charge zone when I press the brakes (whether the overall charge condition is high or low) and other times when I get in the vehicle it will never descend into the charge zone, no matter how hard or soft I hit the brakes (again whether the overall charge condition is high or low). Is anyone else experiencing this condition or can anyone help me understand what is going on?
