Hello everyone,im after some info on putting a bigger turbo on a hilux 3.0lt TD and whats involded.do i need any work done to the motor so it will cope with a bigger turbo.cheers mike

A bigger turbo may not guarantee additional boost. Careful....

If you want more power get an intercooler and bigger exhaust, or go buy a racing car.

I can almost guarantee you that you wont get any extra power from a bigger turbo. If you must, upgrade to a better quality turbo of the same (or near same) size. But as Andyw said, you would benefit much better if you look at the air ways. I'm pretty sure (at least in QLD) that you can legally do a straight through exhaust from the turbo.

Any vehicle benefits greatly from a good respiratory system.
