I am looking to buy a vintage Landcruiser. I want the last model year for the 2-door FJ40 model. Anyone with history on the FJ40 model, please email website or other information.

I think the last years FJ40's were in production was '78/'79? Anyone? I'm close, I know that. I'm not sure whether or not the FJ40's saw 1980.

I don't know if you're looking to do your own resto project or if you want one ready-to-go as a daily driver or what, but if it's the latter, check http://www.ccot.com - Cool Cruisers of Texas (standard "no affiliation" babble here). They restore late model Cruisers (usually 1975 & up I think) to stock conditions for a price.

If you're looking for a resto project - check out http://www.jtoufitters.com and even E-bay. And jump on the LCML (Land Cruiser Mailing List) - they pop up in there once in a while, too. There may even be some riding clubs in your area with mailing lists - you're bound to get a couple responses if you post that you're looking to buy a Cruiser.

Peace & good luck,
Jake
