Hi every one, I just aquired a 2000 rav,2.0 4wd, for free.....with a rod knock. So heres the decicion I made initially: Pull the oil pan, cylender head, and bad rod- check the crank journal (measured good) replace the bearing and put the motor back together. OK......I had no idea this was a job for a contortionist monkey! My question: should I stick it out with the head removal or just drop the whole motor/trans axle assembly? I can come up with means to do so but I honestly don't know how to handle this. Plus since it's the coldest time of year, I want this to be as painless as possible. After all, it's January!
Thanks for any advice in advance, Eddie
